Karen Vera-Duque
Paralegal
Karen Vera-Duque is an experienced education professional and paralegal with a decade of experience in New York City schools. Before becoming a paralegal, Karen worked as a classroom teacher, giving her firsthand experience with students, educators, and the day-to-day realities of school settings.
Karen later joined the New York City Department of Education’s Special Education Legal Unit, where she worked as a paralegal supporting attorneys handling special education matters. Her background gives her a strong understanding of both the educational and legal issues that arise in special education cases.
At AZ & CB Law & Consulting, Karen supports the firm’s attorneys and families with case preparation, document management, and litigation support. She is fluent in Spanish.
